A community-based environmental store in West-Island? Get Involved!
La Coopérative du Grand Orme:
La Coopérative de solidarité en environnement du Grand Orme was created this year thanks to various environmental actors in the West-Island of Montreal. The Cooperative wishes to open an environmental store in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue in order to offer the West-Island population the proper environmental alternatives to most consumer products. As an environmental outreach organisation, SOS Planète is proud to support their efforts.
This general store will also serve as an environmental and community space, where you can take part in workshops and events organized by and for the members and citizens.
This ecological cooperative is a community-based project that needs your support. The Coop is currently raising the necessary funds to begin the environmental renovations to open the store. This includes finding support members, people who believe in the importance of such a space in our community and who are willing to invest 100$ each to help raise the necessary funds.
